The Tipton County Museum & Veterans Memorial Nature Center has announced the lineup for its 2026 Garden Series, a four-week run of Saturday-morning talks open to the public and free for museum members.

The series brings together local and regional experts to share hands-on knowledge for home gardeners of all experience levels. Each session runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the museum’s Veterans Memorial Nature Center.

Organizers say the series is a chance for gardeners of every skill level to pick up practical tips, meet local experts, and connect with fellow plant lovers in the community.

Garden Series 2026 Schedule

Saturday, Sept. 5
“Irises,” with Pat LaPradd, Fayette County Master Gardener

Saturday, Sept. 12
“Invasive Insects,” with Candace Herron, UT/TSU Extension

Saturday, Sept. 19
“Seed Collecting,” with Stacy McWilliams, Idaville Blooms

Saturday, Sept. 26
“Grandpa’s Vegetable Garden,” with Sherl Rose, Naturalist, Tipton County Museum, followed by the plant and seed exchange

Admission is free for members and $5 for non-members, and the public is encouraged to attend any or all four sessions. All sessions are held at the Tipton County Museum & Veterans Memorial Nature Center.
