Corrections Policy
Effective April 2026
Getting things right is our most basic obligation. When we fall short, we say so clearly and fix it quickly.
How We Handle Errors
We correct the original article, add a clearly labeled correction note explaining what was wrong and what is correct, and date the correction. We do not silently alter factual errors.
Types of Changes
Corrections address factual errors and identify both the original error and the accurate information.
Clarifications add context when published information was technically accurate but could reasonably be misunderstood.
Updates add facts that changed or became available after publication. Substantial updates are labeled and dated.
Retractions
Retractions are rare and reserved for work whose central premise is wrong or that should not have been published. The page will be clearly labeled and replaced with an explanation.
How to Request a Correction
Email news@paperfoldsnews.com with the article title or URL, the information you believe is inaccurate, and any supporting documentation. We will investigate and respond.
What We Won’t Do
We will not make undisclosed alterations, remove accurate information merely because it is unflattering, or issue a correction in response to pressure when the reporting is accurate.
