Farm Day is back Saturday – and it’s free. The Tipton County Farm Bureau’s Women in Ag committee is taking over Turner Angus Farm in Covington from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with wagon rides, live animals, ag demos, FFA activities and food trucks. They drew 700-plus last year and are aiming for 1,000 this time.

The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office will hold its annual Peace Officers Memorial Service on Friday, May 8 at noon at The Rock Church (1861 Hwy 51S, Covington). The service honors local law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Representatives from federal, state, and local agencies will be in attendance, and the public is welcome. The service lasts approximately one hour, followed by lunch at the church.
