U.S. Rep. David Kustoff (R-Germantown) has formally announced he will run for re-election to Congress, seeking a fifth term representing Tennessee’s 8th Congressional District.
Kustoff was first elected to represent the 8th district, which includes the eastern half of Tipton County, in November 2016. He most recently won re-election in November 2024 with about 72% of the overall vote in a three-way race. He earned 76% of the vote in Tipton County.
Kustoff was born and raised in Shelby County, graduated from White Station High School and previously served as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee before winning his seat in Congress.
